We arrived in Hong Kong at about 6 am, dawn was just lifting. After searching for an exit from Kowloon railway station, and finally accepting that the only way from the station into the town was by public transport, walking was not an option, we managed to get to the water front. An astonishing view awaited us, Hong Kong Island at that time of morning was grey, as though the colour had been drained from it overnight. I like the way the sun is coming up behind us and is reflecting in the mirrored buildings opposite, a truly stunning sight which I hope one day to see again. I hope next time we visit there will be an exit from the station, with pavements, allowing a stroll downtown. |
